Senators Support Moving Away From Administered Pricing

Three attorneys who serve on the state Senate Banking and Insurance Committee said Wednesday that Florida should consider moving away from administered pricing and allow insurers to set their own rates. Sen. Gary Farmer Jr., former president of the Florida Justice Association, and Sen. Greg Steube said Florida should adopt the model that most states use: allow carriers to charge their own rates and compete in the marketplace.
