The Louisiana state Senate is scheduled to vote today on a bill that would require workers' compensation claims adjusters to be licensed in the state.
The bill would also repeal a law that allows adjusters whose licenses have expired to obtain a new license by fulfilling continuing education requirements. Under the proposal, adjusters whose licenses were expired for two years or more would be required to apply for a new license.
