The Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California on Tuesday reported that the proportion of total loss payments going to medical and indemnity benefits was unchanged in 2022.
Employers paid $4.4 billion for medical benefits last year, representing 53% of total loss payments. Both figures were the same in 2021, according to the WCIRB’s report on losses and expenses for calendar year 2022.
