The Senate Appropriations Committee on Tuesday unanimously passed legislation to require insurers to create anti-fraud units and to keep fraud-fighting efforts confidential.
SB 1012 would require every insurer, regardless of size, to adopt an anti-fraud plan, electronically file details of the plan with regulators and designate at least one employee to implement it.
