Pinnacol Distributes $50 Million Dividend

Colorado’s Pinnacol Assurance announced that it started distributing $50 million to more than 51,000 companies throughout the state Tuesday. Pinnacol said nearly 95% of policyholders are eligible to receive a dividend and the average dividend check for 2022 is $974. The general dividend is possible because Pinnacol operates as a mutual insurer, meaning customers are eligible for an annual dividend based on the carrier’s financial performance.
