The California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery is under new management as of July 1, following the departure of Carl Brakensiek, who had led the organization for 37 years.
CSIMS did not renew its contract with AdvoCal, a company that Brakensiek owns, along with three others, including Steve Cattolica. Brakensiek had served as CSIMS’ executive vice president, while Cattolica was its director of government relations.
