John Kasich signed into law Monday a bill that clears the way for the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation to begin requiring employers to pay for their workers’ compensation premiums at the start of the coverage period rather than after it ends.Prospective billing is set to begin for private employers and professional employer organizations on July 1, 2015, and for public employers on Jan. 1, 2016.The board approved the transition plan to the standard practice of prospective billing in April.
