U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao yesterday announced the appointment of Alec J. Koromilas as chairman of the United States Employees' Compensation Appeals Board (ECAB). Koromilas, named to the board in January 2002, was previously an attorney in private practice in Dover, N.H., specializing in tort and workers' compensation litigation, and is a former chair of the New Hampshire Workers' Compensation Appeals Board from 1993 to 1998.
