Split Panel Vacates Award to Shooting Victim, Certifies Question to Supreme Court

A divided Florida appellate court overturned an award of benefits to a rental car manager who was shot by an unknown assailant at work. Mohammed Bouayad worked as the general manager for Value Car Rental LLC at the Orlando International Airport Holiday Inn. The premises of the car rental business consisted of a kiosk desk inside the hotel atrium, and an office in a separate building.
