KC Theme Park a Tops at Safe Youth Employment

Worlds of Fun theme park in Kansas City was named Tuesday an "Outstanding Youth Employer" for providing a safe work environment for young people. The Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations announced that Worlds of Fun was selected for demonstrating youth safety practices throughout the park. Some of the extra safety measures for youth under the age of 16 include: *Training on restricted areas and types of work at the theme park; *Close working relationship between youth and supervisor; *Colored name tags to easily identify workers under 16.
