Vermont Senators OK Sick Building Presumption

The Vermont state Senate unanimously passed a bill making it easier for state workers to prove they contracted a rare lung disease at work. That workplace is a state office building in Bennington where six workers were diagnosed with the rare disease sarcoidosis. S 67, approved Wednesday on a 30-0 vote in the Senate, makes an exception to the causation rule and instead presumes the state workers in Bennington diagnosed with sarcoidosis contracted it at the workplace.
