The California Division of Workers’ Compensation is contemplating a Jan. 1, 2018, effective date for the prescription drug formulary state lawmakers mandated in 2015.
Peter Melton, a spokesman for the division, said on Tuesday that he agency plans to revise rules proposed in March and open a second comment period, along with a delayed implementation date.
“The DWC does plan on revisions and a 15-day comment period and is actively considering adopting the formulary in the coming weeks but delaying the effective date to Jan. 1, 2018,” he said in an email.
