A Kentucky man who lied about his medical history to obtain workers' compensation benefits was convicted of two counts of fraud and given a year in jail.
Charles Maxey made false statements in the fall of 2003 and the spring of 2004 on a workers' compensation claim, the Insurance Fraud Unit found. Maxey failed to disclose previous medical treatment twice during separate depositions.
