The Kansas state Senate on Tuesday approved a bill favored by business interests that would make it more difficult for injured workers to get benefits if their employers suspect drugs and alcohol are involved.
The Senate voted 30-9 to approve House Bill 2316 by the Committee on Labor and Commerce, according to news reports. The House passed the bill last month.
