Zenith Quarterly Income Down 10.7%

Zenith National Insurance Co. on Monday reported a slight dip in quarterly income, but an increase in profit for the first nine months of the year. Zenith reported net income of $64.5 million in the third quarter of 2007, or 10.7% less than the $72.2 million in net income for the third quarter of 2006. Zenith's net income for the first nine months of 2007 was $194.3 million, or 5.7% more than the $183.8 million earned during the first nine months of 2006.
