KY Says Smallpox Covered by Work Comp

The Kentucky Department of Workers' Claims has issued an advisory bulletin stating that Kentucky health-care workers who are vaccinated against smallpox will be eligible for workers' compensation benefits if they suffer serious side effects. Larry Greathouse, commissioner of the DWC said in the bulletin:"If the individuals.are taking the risk to help the broader community, they ought to be protected".
