The Utah Labor Commission is maintaining a regulation that prohibits any transfer of workers’ compensation payment rights that it has not approved.
The commission said in a “Five-Year Notice of Review and Statement of Continuation” published in Wednesday's Utah State Bulletin that the rule is necessary to establish procedural and substantive requirements regarding prior approval of a request to transfer work comp payment rights, and should remain in place.
The notice of renewal took effect Oct. 4, according to the bulletin, which can be viewed here.
Rule 34A-2-422 can be read here.
