Colorado’s state-chartered Pinnacol Assurance is holding a daylong training event focusing on the basics of the workers’ compensation industry.

The “Workers’ Compensation 101” session is intended for those who are new to the industry and covers the basics of claims management, underwriting and auditing, subrogation, return-to-work and managing safety through good hiring practices.

The free educational program runs from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 25 at 7501 E. Lowry Blvd. in Denver.

The deadline for registration is Jan. 19.
