MEDVAL's Clinical Director, Erin O’Neill, will speak at the Annual National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference (NWCDC) in Las Vegas, on Thursday, December 6, at 1:45. Erin will be presenting with Geoff Zanetti, Manager, Workers’ Compensation of FedEx Freight, on technological advancements in medicine and their claims impact.

Nearly daily, technological progress in medical treatments, pharmaceuticals, and surgeries change the type of healthcare provided to injured workers. Many of these advancements come at significantly increased costs and may not be appropriate for every situation. Erin and Geoff’s session will outline recent medical technological developments and explain their impact on claims. The session will also focus on high-tech prosthetics, exoskeletons, concussion detecting blood tests, transcranial magnetic stimulation for depression, targeted and digital medications, robotic assisted guided surgical procedures, and virtual/augmented reality applications as found in healthcare.

After the session, please stop by MEDVAL’s booth (No. 5312) to ask Erin any questions or to discuss this exciting topic.
