After news broke last month that a claimants' attorney had been indicted on fraudulent billing charges and that other attorneys had billed for thousands of hours per year, many in the state expected regulators to launch some sort of investigation.
That may yet happen, officials said, but so far the Division of Workers' Compensation has only reminded attorneys to be accurate when submitting fees for approval.
