The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation adopted rules addressing lifetime income benefits to implement legislation enacted last year.
Lawmakers in 2023 passed HB 2468, requiring a person to have a major, permanent neurocognitive disorder and need occasional supervision of routine daily tasks of self-care to qualify for lifetime income benefits.
