California employers would have to make decisions on whether to accept workers’ compensation claims more quickly under a recently amended bill, and injured workers would be able to receive more medical treatment while they wait. Sen. Dave Cortese, D-San Jose, on Wednesday amended Senate Bill 335, which proposed no substantive changes to the comp system when it was introduced in February.
