S&P Changes Outlook for AIG to Negative

Standard and Poor’s has revised its outlook for American International Group Inc. to negative from stable, while affirming its ratings for the company, including an insurer financial strength rating of A . The change in outlook to negative comes despite AIG’s appointment last month of Brian Duperreault as chief executive officer, replacing Peter Hancock.
