The Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation is holding hearings in March on proposals that would adjust claims handling penalties, create a new policy compliance audit and require electronic submission of documents.
The division will hear testimony at 10 a.m. March 8 on a proposal to adjust audit rules.
Audit penalties are currently assessed to carriers that score below 90% in any of seven compliance categories. Penalties are based on four score ranges — 80%-89%, 70%-79%, 60%-69% and less than 60% — and are the same for all types of violations.
