DWC Proposes Rules to Mandate Electronic Filing, Change Audit Penalty Structure

The Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation is holding hearings in March on proposals that would adjust claims handling penalties, create a new policy compliance audit and require electronic submission of documents. The division will hear testimony at 10 a.m. March 8 on a proposal to adjust audit rules. Audit penalties are currently assessed to carriers that score below 90% in any of seven compliance categories.
