Former Labor Secretary Renewed Maritime Advisory Committee Before Leaving Office

Former Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez renewed a committee that advises on working conditions in the maritime industry as one of his last acts in office. Perez, who left office Jan. 19, renewed the charter of the Maritime Advisory Committee for another two years. The 15-member committee has advised the assistant secretary of labor on issues related to health, safety and training in the maritime industry since 1995.
