ICA Proposes Rules to Create Firefighter Cancer Fund

The Industrial Commission of Arizona proposed rules to implement legislation creating a fund to pay for municipal employer occupational cancer claims. Rules the commission promulgated Monday would implement Senate Bill 1827, a 2021 bill creating the Municipal Firefighter Cancer Reimbursement Fund. The bill requires the ICA to assess and collect from cities and towns fees to be deposited in the fund.
