The Workers' Compensation Board of Indiana announced that the total Second Injury Fund assessment is increasing next year after dropping in 2024.
The total assessment for 2025 is $9.202 million, up from $7.225 million last year and slightly more than the $9.197 million assessment for 2023.
The board reported that the fund has $2.48 million to carry into 2025. The fund paid $5.675 million in indemnity benefits in 2024, $1.704 million for prosthetics and $326,100 in administrative fees.
