DWC Updates Seasonal Worker Coverage Requirement

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that the gross annual payroll requirements for coverage of seasonal workers will increase next year. The amount for 2023 will be $65,645, an increase of 8.1% from $60,726. Seasonal workers for agricultural company owners with annual gross payrolls of at least $65,645 will be considered employees covered by the Texas Workers' Compensation Act.
