California lawmakers passed a bill that would require posters informing employees about their workers’ compensation rights to include an advisement about the right to consult an attorney.
The Senate on Thursday voted 36-0 to pass AB 1870, by Assemblymember Liz Ortega, D-San Leandro. The bill has not been amended since the Assembly voted 75-0 to pass it April 25, meaning the measure can be transmitted to the governor for consideration.
