The U.S. House of Representatives last week passed legislation mandating an extensive set of new regulations governing explosive dust hazards, following a fatal Feb. 7 explosion at the Imperial Sugar Refinery in Savannah, Ga.In the Georgia accident, eight people died in the refinery and four others died later in the hospital of severe burn injuries.
