NAIC Elects Raymond Farmer as Secretary-Treasurer

South Carolina Insurance Director Raymond Farmer has been elected to serve as secretary-treasurer of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, the organization announced on Friday. Farmer replaces former Texas Insurance Commissioner David Mattax, who died on April 13. Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley appointed Farmer to serve as director of the state’s Department of Insurance in November 2012.
