Sedgwick, StrataCare Win CIGA Contracts

Sedgwick CMS and StrataCare are the winners in the California Insurance Guarantee Association's first-ever open competition for vendor services.The CIGA board of directors chose Sedgwick for claims administration and StrataCare for bill review, Executive Director Wayne Wilson said Thursday. The decision was made during a CIGA board meeting held at the Sheraton hotel near Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday.Wilson said Sedgwick was awarded a contract to handle roughly 20% of CIGA's claims, or about 7,500.
