A new federal proposal that would require drugmakers to post the prices of drugs on their TV ads could have ripple effects — good and bad — on workers’ compensation drug costs, industry analysts said.
The proposal, announced Monday by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, would require that the wholesale acquisition cost, commonly known as the list price, be shown on TV ads for medications that are covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
