A former union leader and his daughter were indicted last week for allegedly conspiring to solicit kickbacks from clinics in exchange for referring injured federal workers for medical services.
Lenin V. Perez and daughter Liane M. Perez-Rodriguez are charged with conspiracy to receive a kickback and falsification of records in an indictment handed down by a federal grand jury on Thursday. Both Perezes were convicted of a similar crime in 2003.
