Montana’s Labor-Management Advisory Council will review medical reports and possibly vote to support legislation during a meeting on Tuesday in Helena. Council members will discuss draft legislation to allow injured workers to reopen a claim to continue receiving medical benefits five years after the date of injury. The reforms of 2011 included a provision that automatically terminates medical benefits after five years. The draft legislation would allow the Department of Labor and Industry to adopt rules for petitions to extend medical benefits in claims that have already been reopened...
