The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division is holding a meeting for system users in May to discuss implementation of House Bill 4138.
The bill enacted on March 23 limits recovery of overpayments to no more than 50% of the worker’s total award and requires carriers or self-insured employers to identify any overpayments within two years.
The measure requires insurers or self-insured employers to mail or deliver written notice to a worker or worker’s attorney before ending benefits that explains why benefits are not being paid.
