The New York State Workers' Compensation Board has accepted the voluntary resignation of three physicians and has temporarily suspended two others from treating injured workers.
The board announced that Dr. Surag Patel, a general practitioner in Rochester, was convicted of driving under the influence in 2019, which resulted in a reprimand and fine by the state Department of Health.
