Cannabis would not be recommended for pain management under treatment guidelines that the California Division of Workers' Compensation proposed incorporating into the Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule on Friday.
The division announced plans to adopt the most recent version of the chronic pain guidelines published by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine along with cannabis guidelines ACOEM published Jan. 28.
