A married couple who claimed to be injured while working at their son’s auto repair shop is facing felony charges for continuing to work at the shop while allegedly collecting more than $180,000 in workers’ compensation benefits, according to the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries.
Jeffrey B. Pierson, 61, is accused of stealing more than $116,000 in comp benefits over a two-year period. His wife, Karen S. Pierson, 62, allegedly stole more than $64,000 over 15 months. Both are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
