Pie Enters Ninth State With Online, Direct Policies

Pie Insurance, which offers direct, online sales of workers’ comp coverage to small businesses, has started selling policies in California, the company announced Tuesday. California is the ninth state in which Pie has launched this year. As of June, the company was selling policies in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. In August, Pie announced the completion of an $11 million funding round to help fuel its geographic expansion.
