The Kentucky Department of Workers' Claims is reminding stakeholders that its long-awaited medical treatment guidelines take effect in three weeks.
The treatment guidelines, forged after months of committee meetings and stakeholder input, were set to take effect in September. The implementation was delayed until Jan. 1 by a governor's order due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the DWC said in a bulletin.
The delay gave medical providers who had closed or limited their operation more time to participate in training on the guidelines. A training webinar is available on the DWC's webs...
