Pharmacy benefit managers will have to pass along any rebates or other "third-party revenue" to employers and insurers under amendments to the Pharmacy Fee Schedule proposed by the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board.
The proposed amendments also add language to further regulate prices for compounded drugs and repackaged drugs. The board said in a notice posted Wednesday in the New York State Register (page 24, here) that the changes are necessary to comply with a mandate by the Legislature to ensure that carriers and employers pay the lowest price available.
