Congress Passes Resolution to Limit OSHA Record-Keeping Citations

The U.S. Senate has passed House Joint Resolution 83, which would overturn a regulation allowing the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to cite businesses that don’t keep records of workplace injuries for five years. The Senate passed the resolution on Wednesday with a 50-48 vote. The House of Representatives passed it earlier this month. It now heads to President Trump, who is expected to sign it. The Occupational Safety and Health Act requires employers to keep records of workplace injuries for five years, but allows OSHA to issue citations for record-keeping violation...
