DWC Holds Stakeholder Meeting to Discuss Legislative Plans

The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation will host an all-stakeholder meeting Tuesday to hear recommendations about what comp changes the Legislature should consider next year. The Texas Legislature meets in regular session every other year and lawmakers are set to convene again on Jan. 12. The DWC did not mention any goals or suggested legislation in its bulletin, and so far, the only bills that would affect workers' compensation are ones that would create COVID-19 presumptions for first responders and correctional workers.
