The United States Supreme Court on Monday denied review of two petitions for certirorari challenging the adequacy of the National Football League's massive class-action settlement with former players for failing to warn them about the long-term health risks of brain injuries they sustained on the gridiron.
In Armstrong v. NFL and Gilchrist v. NFL, former players took issue with the terms of the $1 billion settlement that U.S. District Judge Anita B. Brody approved last April.
