WCRI: Must-Access PDMPs Contribute to Drop in Opioid Use

Prescription drug monitoring programs that physicians must access before dispensing medications helped reduce opioid use among injured workers, according to a recent presentation from the Workers Compensation Research Institute. Ten years ago, about one in five injured workers were prescribed an opioid.
