DIA Sets New Average Weekly Wage

The average weekly wage used for determining workers’ compensation benefits in Massachusetts is $1,338.05, effective Oct. 1. The rate for temporary and total disability benefits is 60%, with a minimum of $267.61 and a maximum of $1,338.05. For permanent and total disability benefits, the rate is 66.67%, with the same minimum and maximum.
