A single-subject bill introduced in the Minnesota House of Representatives this week would create a presumption that COVID-19 is compensable for specified school workers.
The proposed presumption is similar to another proposal in a bill already filed that addresses unemployment issues and other subjects.
House File 37, by Rep. John Huot, D-Rosemount, would create a presumption covering teachers and administrators; contract employees providing student-related services, including bus drivers, nutrition staff and custodians; and anyone else providing services to students.
