The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Board announced that attorney fees will increase July 1 by 4.693%.
The maximum attorney fee in cases involving an unreasonable delay in accepting or denying a claim or paying benefits will increase to $4,797, the board announced. The maximum fee for prevailing when a carrier has denied responsibility for a claim will increase to $3,459.
In cases where the attorney fee is determined on an hourly basis, the hourly rate is increasing to $366 from $350.
