Safety Violation Penalties Increasing 2.59%

The Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced that penalties for workplace safety violations increased by 2.59% to account for inflation. The maximum penalty for willful violations and repeated violations increased to $165,514 from $161,323. The maximum penalty for serious violations, other-than-serious violations and failure-to-abate violations increased to $16,550 from $16,131.
